If you live in Europe, you may be aware that we're having a cold wave, with artic winds blowing. This has caused snow falls in various places, more or less strong. In our case (Montpellier), once again we had a handfull of flurries, and that was it. OK, I'll take any flake. Big or small, light or heavy. Every little flake counts, in my case. (see how snow deprived I am ?)
As soon as I could grab my camera, I did it, and tried to capture these magic little white dust falling ever so lightly & gracefully from above ...
every little flake counts from Sonia CANTIE on Vimeo.
These were taken with the normal lens. Then I put the macro lens on & tried to capture a couple of flake on the windowsill. That was tough job because they would melt in a second, and the focus would take just as much, on the camera. (grr) But, I am happy, I managed to capture some of them. I cropped them for a better viewing.
below : the same as above, but melting
This is how fast it was melting :
I have my share of white magic for the year to come. (just kidding, I want more snow !!!!!)
In the meantime, I'll wish you a wonderful weekend. It's going to be freezing cold here. (it doesn't happen many days in the year, but don't worry we're surviving ... well except my mother-in-law, she just hates the cold & could faint in the wink of an eye) I will enjoy being indoors & if I need to go out, then I'll let the cold bite my cheeks ! (for you must be contented with any kind of weather you get !)
Keep warm, be happy & enjoy the fact of being alive !

Great photos! Here in London I'm well aware of the cold - but no snow yet. Completely clear skies, making it even colder. My mother-out-law is also very funny about cold weather. It's like she can only function when it's warm. I'm with you - life has to go on, whatever the weather, right? If you have a roof over your head, and clothes to wear, it's all OK!

Brrrrrr, it's cold isn't it? Gorgeous photos. I especially love the first one. It was -7C this morning on our way to school. Had to wrap my face for my walk. Pippi didn't mind it though ;)
