On the third day of our vacations in the Tarn, we decided to wake up early (6.30am for the boys, on vacation, is what I call early), and to go walking in the woods, and around. The first photos you see were taken around 7am, hence the "weird" light. I won't include some of the fungi photos I showed two days ago, and that we saw that day.
I think this is a Limax maximus / leopard slug / limace léopard
Queen Anne's Lace in her morning splendor
Hypericum perforatum / St John's Wort / millepertuis perforé
um, yes, I must admitt, this kind of sight makes me
long for autumn ...
this butterfly was so focused
that we could all very delicately stroke it !
I love how these unfurled ferns look like snails/amonite fossils
We didn't regret a single second waking up early ... specially that we came home to warm coffee & to lighting a fire in the chimney. Oh yes, how much I loved this part too ...
HAPPY AUGUST everyone ! Take care !
