We're now three days from Autumn (school) break & it'll be very welcome ! It's been a long & busy period since the beginning of September. I can't wait to sleep a teeny little longer in bed ... omg yes. We'll also go on a little family trip next week (but won't bring the "big" camera for practical reason), which we are all SO excited about & longing for ! (our -now- traditional end of October trip to Paris) So, I suppose the shop update won't happen before we'll be back, it's way too tight for making it happen before we leave.
Yesterday as I was in my sewing corner, I noticed something on top of my linen-covered-cork-pinboard. From a distance I couldn't see what it was exactly, but as I came closer I understood what it was : a moth. Nothing exciting ... but the pattern on its wings just totally made me go grab my camera & snap away.
If you know me well, you know that I love to identify what I come accross with. Just for being less ignorant or/and out of pure curiosity. For a couple of hourse, I searched high & low, in my local nature books, and on the internet. I couldn't find it. If you really know what it is, please share your knowledge with us all ! For I'd love to know the little name of this beauty ! Isn't the pattern amazing ?! You understand I really had to take photos & share them with you !
>>> EDITED (later in the morning) : a contact on Instagram (where I also put a photo of the moth) put me on the right track ! It's a Utetheisa pulchella, aka Crimson-spreckled moth ! ("la Gentille" ou "l'Ecaille du myosotis", en français) Yay, so glad to know the name now !!
We've been having (way too) high temps these last days (up to 25°C yesterday) & humidity levels like we've never had (almost 100%) ... The temps are supposed to drop considerably this weekend, so I'll be enjoying the warm temps while they last. Have a lovely middle of the week, everyone !
xoxo
